Valentine’s day is two days away. So I did a small poll and 60% voted they are interested in seeing inspirations for V-Day !
What’s funny though is that the remaining 40%, who voted «valentine who ?», are all mothers ; and I admit, I kind of relate to that .
Before having our son, I used to get excited and prepare a romantic dinner for my husband with candles and red balloons. But what has changed now? Did we grow older? Or is it simply being caught in your daily chores? Did we loose our romantic “touch” after having kids? Would love to hear you opinion about this matter.
In the meantime, here’s a Cesar Salad for you. A great choice to start your romantic dinner with. I had some leftovers rotisserie chicken, chopped some romaine lettuce and prepared the easy sauce. Plus, I added my final touch with beef bacon on top
🏻 Ingredients:
- Half or one small chicken rotisserie
- 2 stripes of beef bacon
- Half bunch of romaine lettuce
- 2 TBsp parmesan
- 2 TBsp croutons ( you get the ready ones or if you are in hurry like me just cut some toast )
For sauce:
- 2 TBsp mayonnaise ( you can use greek yogurt if you are on diet)
- 2 tsp dijon mustard
- Juice of one small lemon
- 5 minced garlic cloves
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp parmesan
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 TBsp cold water
- 1 TBsp olive oil
Directions:
- Shred the chicken
- Fry the bacon ( you can also skip the bacon if you want a less calorie version)
- Cut the head of lettuce
- Mix the sauce ingredients
- Mix everything well with sauce with the croutons.
- Put croutons and some parmesan shaves on top and enjoy it
